Malang, October 25, 2024 – In an effort to strengthen academic collaboration and enhance the university's Key Performance Indicators (KPI), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Riau (UNRI) conducted a visit to Universitas Brawijaya (UB). The UNRI delegation was welcomed by the Dean of FMIPA UB, Ratno Bagus Edy Wibowo, Ph.D., along with faculty leaders and lecturers from the Department of Statistics.

The meeting discussed various strategic cooperation initiatives, including the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), the development of a team teaching program, and the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program through the Merdeka Student Exchange (PMM) scheme. Both institutions also designed joint research programs and visiting lecturer schemes to enhance teaching quality and scientific publications.

Beyond the academic aspects, UNRI and UB also discussed strategies for improving KPI, such as industry collaboration and participation in international visiting lecturer programs. The Dean of FMIPA UNRI, Dr. Syamsudhuha, emphasized that this collaboration is a significant step in enhancing academic competitiveness and the professionalism of graduates.

"We hope this collaboration will greatly benefit students and lecturers by enhancing academic skills and expanding networking opportunities in both education and industry," said Dr. Syamsudhuha.

With the strengthening partnership between FMIPA UNRI and UB, it is expected that the implementation of MBKM and KPI improvements will be optimized, supporting the university’s vision of producing outstanding and globally competitive graduates.
