Surabaya, November 7, 2024 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Riau (UNRI) has officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (IKPP). The signing ceremony, held at Swiss-Belinn Hotel, aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in research and human resource development.
Through this partnership, UNRI Statistics students will have the opportunity to intern at PT IKPP, applying statistical knowledge in production analysis and operational efficiency. Additionally, both institutions will develop joint research projects focused on data-driven industrial optimization.
Dean of FMIPA UNRI, Dr. Syamsudhuha, M.Sc., stated that this collaboration is a strategic step in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program by providing students with broader industry exposure.
