Pekanbaru, October 10, 2024 – In an effort to enhance the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, FMIPA UNRI held a seminar titled "Developing Strategic Plans for MBKM Towards Global Success." The event brought together industry practitioners and academics to share insights on strengthening student competencies through internships, research, and student exchange programs.
The seminar featured speakers such as Tengku Kespandiar from PT Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (RAPP) and Agus Setiawan from Pertamina, who provided an overview of the challenges and opportunities in the job market for statistics graduates. During the discussion session, the speakers emphasized the importance of mastering data analysis and evidence-based decision-making across various industries.
The Dean of FMIPA UNRI highlighted that with the right strategy, the MBKM program can serve as a bridge for students to gain professional experience before graduation, equipping them to compete at a global level.
